Minimum Requirements For This Position:
- Demonstrate ability to relate well with individuals representing a wide range of backgrounds, education and skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and successful interactions with client relations and customer service.
- Experience in progressive experiences pertaining to large quantity food production, multi-profit center production and management as well as proficiency in high quality catered events.
- Proficient in use of technology to provide efficient business management and work flow. Proficient in POS system management, Microsoft products and cloud based applications.
- Demonstrated progressive work experience, organizational skills and problem solving techniques.
- Degree in culinary arts or hospitality related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within food service operations in a higher education setting.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Direct and supervise a wide range of employees including a small management and supervisory team, full and part-time employees and student workers.
- Direct and maintain proper sanitation and production standards.
- Ensure quality of finished products in an consistent and meaningful manner.
- Plan and implement daily culinary operations to include campus café and catering services.
- Direct and oversee campus-wide vending operations as well as C-store benefiting students.
- Oversee and maintain high-class catering events within a wide range of client needs and budget parameters.
- Develop menus for café and retail operations within nutritional and financial parameters while integrating market trends, local needs and efficient production.
- Recruit, select and train all staff.
- Increase sales and convenience for guests, students and staff through effective marketing and communication.
- Control revenue and expenses to meet financial goals.
